Friends First

Yes I remembered to change my time. Well actually the phone changed automatically. I was so mad when it went off... the sun was still down and it was just chaos... I knew it was changing but I forgot while I was asleep I guess. So yeah... dumb daylight savings...

When I told him my garage is full of dirt bikes and no room for the van...
No kiddin huh? They took over the garage? It was bound to happen... You can't be in Spring Creek without dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. All it took was to kick one kid out to get more money... I know I get it.

And no way Jose. I'm not a KC fan. I said that was the last time someone will ever see me wearing a KC hat Brother Winfrey is a funny guy. And yeah, Taitum showed me all of his Legos. They're pretty fun. He's actually way good at building stuff. Well way better than me that's for sure.

We aren't getting iPads anytime soon I don't think. Apparently we are on the waiting list and have been for 2 years. But our mission has been not "good" enough as in I'll bet they don't wanna give them to us because almost everyone will abuse the privilege. If that makes sense...

Well I have good news! The Greenup family is stayin together! Such a huge relief. They are gonna do some counseling and stuff and hopefully it all works out. We were at their house last Wednesday and on our way up to the door we heard Thunderstruck by ACDC playing and we walked into the house and the two kids are just freaking out. Head banging and wrist bobbing on the front room floor. And Brother Greenup playing the air guitar and air drums... it was quite a sight and it was so funny. Apparently its an every night tradition.

We also started teaching the Hall family. They're so cool. Part member family and no doubt the guy is gonna get baptized. He's a concert trained organist and owns a couple of clothing stores. When we were there he was ranting about Rogers organs are no longer a thing or something. Poor guy... But they have a little girl who is so funny. She runs and runs and runs. Energy, never tires I swear...

We also met with a guy named John Webber at a halfway house. It's a place for people trying to get off drugs and alcohol. So everyone's brains are fried there. They're cool and super nice though. John is always interested in verses that talk about marriage so we share the same thing every week and he asks the same questions over and over.

This week was pretty good all in all. At district meeting everyone always asks us why we can teach so many people. Plain and simple... don't go over as missionaries. Go over as friends then turn into missionaries. No one wants to invite someone into their house for them to just say they need to get their act together.... There's advice for ya'll. Just be friends. That's all it takes.
