Baby Blanket Busting Out Those Bold Folds

Well this week was, in the words of the kid on the trike from The Incredibles, "Totally wicked!"

That's also the name of a weed dispensary here. INCRedibles. :)

First was pday. We went all the way to the Westminster Stake center to ball out. And we did... we played our hearts out.

Tuesday we did some service. I'm gonna have mad skills in folding blankets and onesies by the time I get home. Had a normal day of finding. Steve bailed on his appointment with us which was too bad. We went to sonic that night and got some more shakes because I won a bet with Elder Elkington that a guy was gonna get mad at us for soliciting. I can smell them like Mr. Bruchske (sp?) could smell shoplifters when he managed a drug store before teaching.

Wednesday we did some MyPlan. I got to write my one year vision or whatever that's called. Basically where I want to see myself in one year. I put, "Fat Stacks and my own car." Oh and I also put to stay active in the church. It's all subject to change though so don't worry. My future isn't a wreck just yet. We had a long day of tracting and sweeping for sheep that day. Same thing after dinner as well.

Thursday was pretty good since we got to start the day with a meeting! But not only that we got to go play bingo. And the best part it was pouring rain while we were in bingo so we didn't even get wet because the sun was out by the time we left! Elder Elkington was upset. He's the weirdo that looks forward to misery. We went on splits that night with a member and he just took us to random houses to see people. He has no chill when it comes to the doorbell either. It will be 8:30pm and he still hits that sucker. I cried evrytme. We did meet a family though who said it would be alright for us to teach them. maybe that will go somewhere.

Friday We met shawn lampp. He's a former investigator and we rolled up on him while he was in his garage "tokin'". (smoking weed) he was so high... and not just a mile above sea level. He said we could come back though which is cool. Maybe he won't be so high this time. We had a lesson with Susan Webb. She's awesome. She has decided that this is the church she should be in. We taught the restoration and put her on bap date for Sep. 9th. (My last saturday, hopefully it goes through) The trick is getting her to church though.

Saturday we helped another ward move someone. They gave us soooo many donuts. and then ordered a ton of pizza. And we literally moved  only like 30 boxes. People don't expect the amount of stuff and how quickly we can move when it's go time. I was on exchanges that day with THE Elder Nish from canada so I got to drive around that day. Met a couple of crazy people. One of which believes in Aliens called Onunaki or something? It's rumoured that they have conversed with Jehovah apparently. She said... and I quote, "It makes more sense than the bible does." Ayyyy.

Sunday Was pretty straightforward. Had church, studies, stake priesthood meeting and tracted a little bit.

Monday was deceiving waking up to a normal proselyting day and not Pday. Broke my heart. But we lived and it was good. We did some more myplan. Wrote "MyPlan" for continuing my discipleship. Nothin too exciting that day. Talked to a hardcore born again who said we don't need to be baptized. Talked to a super sweet old lady who is baptist. Then Jake my man. we were walking pass and he says "AYyyyy I used to be mormon" and we talked. I have never heard such good a sermon as this man preached while high on "ganja" (also weed) Basically he said that people don't need to be robots and follow christ but it should be what we want to do. Haha.

Tuesday was pretty cool. Normal service. Baby blanket busting out those bold folds. We were out tracting and a catholic lady let us in and we talked for 30 mins or so. and the very next door we knocked also let us in for the same amount of time and we taught her the Restoration and answered any questions she had. It was pretty cool to have that happen after knocking Arvada to death.

And today we went to the Temple. It was a good "trip" (haha just kidding. Legit trip this time) And now it's pday!
