Easter wasn't bad at all! We didn't have any meetings Sunday! What a blessing! Well obviously we have church but we don't have to worry about that next week! We had a good dinner. Ham and twice baked potatoes and the whole 9 yards! It was so good and then we had key lime pie for dessert. Then afterwards we went to the Winfreys because they invited a family over for dinner. The guy's name is Robert and he's about to marry Stephanie who is a returning less active. Robert is very intimidated by the missionaries so we just hung out for 2 hours just talking. Didn't talk about the church once. Which I really think let Robert see that we were actual people and not baptizing monsters. Hopefully he'll warm up to us and let us teach him. That would be really neat. And that's how Easter was spent. Oh and also the Greenups were finally at church! Yay!!! Bout time.... haha.
Yes we do indeed have a washer and dryer in the apartment again. I hope it'll be like that the rest of the mission.
This week was good. Monday we had our weekly FHE with the Alexanders. Bro. Alexander just had surgery this week for his lungs or something. It should help and make it so he doesn't have to be on oxygen as much anymore. He's a cool guy. Tells us lots of stories like one time he blew up a VW bug with some dynamite trying to plow the snow off roads. That guy was a hooligan growing up down in Arizona. Then of course we went to the Winfreys. I don't know what I'd do without going to their house. It just gives us an opportunity to wind down and get rid of all the stress that built up the week before.
Tuesday we saw the one and only Brother McDaniels. Talked about the government conspiracies again like usual. And his days back when he partied and went through initiations for some fraternity at college. That dude is crazy. We also saw Burgundy George and her fam. MacPherson and I just go over and make them laugh and hope that they show up to church. They're super off and on about going to church.
Wednesday made the snow that came down two weeks ago look childish. There were drifts 2 feet deep in some places... And of course the mission office is like, "hey! it's snowing so bad right now so lets make the missionaries walk" So they made us walk because they didn't want anything to happen to the cars... It makes sense but I know how to drive in the snow! :( Oh well. It's all said and done with now... But there was so much snow. We spent all day just pushing out cars and shoveling driveways. There was one car stuck and the guy didn't know how to drive at all. Tried to tell him to rock it and so he started moving back in forth in his seat... SMH (shake my head) bro. So I had to teach him how to drive the car and get it unstuck. He had a dumb inthinc in his car too because he was an electrician or something and it was going nuts when I was showing him how to drive. No seat belt warnings. Aggressive driving... driver door is open.... type of stuff. It made me laugh...
Thursday was much of the same stuff. Shoveling and stuff but we could drive! Woohoo! Made life way easier.
Friday we saw the Mandlers again. She was watching the movie, "Mary of Nazereth" or something like that. Hahaha when Jesus got baptized they only poured water over his head. I was taken aback by the false things portrayed in that movie. It was the one with Christian Bale as Jesus. Saturday we saw the Cuellars. They are doing as good as ever. Still going to church which is good. We saw the Greenups Saturday night too! They're so funny! I love that family! Then Saturday was Easter and I've covered that already.... :)
