Monday was a drag though because we had no FHE! so we literally had to go tracting the evening after PDAY.
The 4th was fun. We ran the 5k in the morning. 25:26 that's a PR and will forever be my PR mainly because that's the first and last time I will run a 5k and semi enjoy it! We had a breakfast with the stake which was good. Independence day is my very favorite holiday. It just brings so many people out of their house and we get to talk to them. Everyone is so happy as well out partying. Whether that's due to the Alcohol or holiday who knows but I'll take it! We had a bbq with some members for lunch and went and strolled a huge park with as many people that live in Spring Creek in attendance for the firework show. Sadly we had to be home by 7:30 and didn't get to see any of the big fireworks. Our neighbors did set them off for us though!
Wednesday it was hard to get out and do anything with the holiday hangover even as a missionary. It seems like everything was dead and no one was out doing anything. We did get to meet the new Mission president and his wife. Both are super cool and trained speech givers. You can tell by the way they say stuff and walk around while they are talking to us. Kinda funny. We met with Anthony that night who said he wanted to get baptized on Saturday again... what's new?
Thursday we had district meeting. "God Bless the USA" was the theme of it :) We went to Westminster to tract aruond the apartments there. Didn't turn out too much success but we had fun while doing it nonetheless. Then we met with Bishop Smith and Anthony just so that he could meet the bishop of the YSA. It was good and we all decided to fast this past sunday so that Anthony could get an actual answer he recognizes from the spirit instead of answers that he thinks could be answers.... If that makes sense?
Friday we did some service at the food bank of course. It's always fun to sort through moldy oranges! We met with Dylan again on Friday who was vaping the whole time so naturally we were choking on all the water vapor nastiness and couldn't see him as we read the scriptures. he said that he would come to church that week but he didn't show. :( sad day. then we went on exchanges with the ZL's for some reason but it was fun.
I spent all day Saturday in their area with Elder Palmer. We found tons of people but I personally would not have counted them as what we call, "new investigators" basically because they weren't investigating. At all actually... we would walk up to them and hand them a pamphlet tell them what it is and say a prayer. Then he would count it as a new one. Oh leadership... gotta look good always I guess.
Sunday was a good day of meetings and fasting. Not sure if Anthony found the answer he wsa looking for but he came to YSA sac. mtg and it was good to see him there. And that wraps up this week! Stayed out of trouble for one more and hopefully I can do it again for another! only gotta do it 9 more times....
