Monday night we did FHE which was just cooking s'mores and playing some kickball. Then we get a call that night asking if we could be in a trio because a missionary from our zone was going home for a week to attend a funeral for his grandpa. So Tuesday and Wednesday we had a third wheel in tow. And let me tell ya... You think tracting isn't fun with two people... try three. It's very awkward and everyone gets a little intimidated. It's almost like we are about to overpower who opens the door and invade or something.
so that's how Tuesday was spent. ^ awkward tripanionship stuff going on. We went and saw Joseph for the last time... He no longer is in the ward we cover due to boundary switches. He gave us an apple and everything. What a cool guy! We met with Anthony as well that day and he basically put himself on baptismal date for the next Friday but spoiler alert! he didn't get baptized on that day... go figure.
Wednesday we were trying but an investigator 5th ward had but this cranky old lady answered and told us to never come back or she was going to call the cops for soliciting. That was a damper on that whole day... It didn't seem to stop there. Every single door with a no soliciting sign got mad at us. Well that's an exaggeration but it felt like every door that happened. We taught another guy named Doug but holy smokes is that guy slow. Every time we asked him something he would take forever to answer and then he wouldn't even answer the question! He would just say that it's really hot outside and that he can't go out in the heat. We had dinner at Chipotle but had to run to an appointment that bailed on us. Then we went and stopped in to teach Robert. It was good this time we shared Mormon messages the whole 20 minutes which seemed to keep his attention.
Thursday we had district meeting then lunch and then we tried by Felix but didn't answer. So we just tracted in those apartments and had more Spanish conversations than English. Gave out more Spanish Book of Mormon's than English ones that day. The rest of the day was tracting as well which is always a blast! After dinner we were able to finally see the Apodaca family who was bailing on us and avoiding us for awhile. We were able to set up a time to come back again. Saw the Miner family after that and they informed us that they have over 2,000 movies. Legit... they have so many.... It's actually like way cool to see them all in their plastic cases.
Friday we went and did service at the food bank then to Wendy's for lunch. Then weekly planning for 3 hours then we tracted for a little bit. Then we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and get this. Someone from the YSA ward took us there... I guess he is rich or something. But it was good. Then afterward we didn't have much going on. We met with Anthony again to see why he wasn't baptized! Just the same old stuff....
Saturday was spent at a service thing. We volunteered at Sand in the City. Basically a beach party in the middle of a city! In the middle of a landlocked state! It was pretty cool. We just hung out at a bike valet place and parked people's bikes who came. It was the best service ever. Even better than bouncing beer drinkers! The rest of the day was quite uneventful so I won't bore you with details. Sunday was jam packed with meetings from 8:30am to 8:48pm. We had boundary switches which entailed us getting rid of old part of the area, AKA low income humble people to the new developments and rich people. It'll be like Parker all over again but that's okay. \
And then this whole morning we spent helping someone move. We went all the way to Denver to a storage unit then all the way back up here to Westminster. Ayy. If only we could've done that tomorrow. Now we have next to no time to do what we want today. But it's all for the best! :)
