Well the trip went a lot faster than I would have liked it to be. We had to get up at 3am but I got up at around 2:30ish so that I could give one last hoorah to my friends headed to Los Angeles. One of them, Elder Hedman, is going to Utah State after his mission too. So I'll be able to see him again. It was crazy getting to the SLC airport. We all got onto the bus... it took us like 30 mins to put everyone's luggage on by the way... and the bus took us literally around the corner to the frontrunner station.. which we then had to unload and then reload the luggage onto the train. Well we rode the train to a stop where we had to get all 100+ bags off of the train in 3 minutes. And then put all that luggage onto the Amtrack and ride to the airport where we went up and down escalators. I think I'll just mail my bags home so that I don't have to do that ever again. We all got through security with only one hitch. One of the elders didn't take off his belt and they were on him like the fish were onto the food at Gilbert ranch. After we grabbed a bite to eat everyone wanted to call home so every single payphone was taken. A couple friends and I went to the Police desk and asked if there were any other phones and she just handed us her cellphone and said that we could use it. She says she just does this to every missionary that comes through the airport. She must have unlimited minutes because there are a lot of missionaries. She also told us to not get married at least 1 year after our mission so that we could go out and enjoy life a little. Then we decided to go get something to eat. Who woulda thought that a whole entire airport only sells Coke products... There was no Mtn Dew anywhere! The flight took exactly 1 hour. and when we got off it took forever to find everyone's bag and find the mission president. President is really cool and I'm excited to be able to get to know him over the next couple of years. We were assigned our companions after we drove to the mission office. My new companion is Elder Millburn. He is really awesome and is wearing a boot due to a high ankle sprain from basketball. We went straight from the mission office to Sister Larson's house and ate dinner and visited with her for a bit. Then we went and visited the Anderson family who just wanted to know me. I guess I have some big shoes to fill from the last Elder that got transferred. They really liked him. Today we got up and did our studies. And my companion had DLC's whatever that is so I had to just sit in a different room. I tried playing Hymns on the piano but I'm no better than I was when I left. I guess I didn't receive the gift to read and play music extremely well. :( Oh well. I'm sure I'll be blessed in different ways. After we ate lunch at the other Elder's apartment we were walking down back to our apt. and a guy yelled at us to come help. Turns out his niece lives in an apartment down from us all alone. She's in a wheelchair and has a injury on her leg that makes her sick all the time. She's depressed and this guy told us that he would like us to visit her whenever we had time. Her name is Holly and she seems glad that we will be stopping by to see how she is every once in awhile.

Well that's all that has happened that is exciting so far. 1 day down only 729 to go! I'm super excited for these next two years and I look forward to serving as much as I can.

I did hear a lot about the BYU games and we could hear the crowd while we were laying in bed trying to sleep. It seemed like a very exciting game and I'm jealous I didn't get to see it. Oh well.

I love you Mom. Thanks for everything.
