Pictures!

I can send you pictures if you want... You know how much I love taking pictures....

So a week ago from Sunday bishop came up to us and asked if we had plans on Thanksgiving we said not really. A few families said we could go over to their house. He's like that's perfect I'm filling your whole day up. You're gonna have Thanksgiving breakfasts, lunches and Thanksgiving dinners the whole day. At first I was like THATS AWESOME. But I got to thinking. That's a lot of food.... I think this Thanksgiving I'll just go straight to pie. Skip all that other jazz.

Lets see the rundown of the week....
I'll just go straight to Tuesday since all Mondays are the same. On Tuesday Elder Millburn and I had to go to the follow-up trainer/trainee meeting. Basically it's where all the trainers go into a different room to make fun of the trainees and where the trainees tell the Mission President all the things that the trainers are doing wrong. It was pretty boring but I loved it because I got to see all my homies from the MTC. All of them are still here and none have gone home. Which is awesome. We have a solid group!  The next time we will all be together again will be when we go home.

Then we had a basketball at our church at 8:30. Basically we just invite all of our investigators and anyone who wants to come and play some basketball. We literally have like 6 non members and then just my companion and I. That is some of the most fun basketball I've played. Just playing with all these guys from the hood. Not really but they could be....

Wednesday was not that exciting except it snowed about 6 inches or so. But all the kids here aren't wussies and still went to school. No delayed start or anything. It all melted for the most part by the end of the day but there is still some lingering in the shady spots today. Tonight it's suppose to snow like 20 inches or something.

Thursday we had District Meeting and afterwards we just mobbed on the Zone leaders with snowballs. It was funny. I don't think they appreciated it as much as we did. We tried to stop by Sandy our investigator but she has pneumonia and strep. Hopefully we didn't get it from her.... That would be like the worst thing ever. We gave her a blessing which was cool. But then she called us the next day and was like... Yeah I probably can't meet with you for a couple of weeks. It got worse, I promised that our blessing didn't make it worse she laughed and agreed that it wasn't the blessing.

Friday we taught our investigator Estafano who is a friend of a youth in our ward. So Preston's friend is Estafano. They're pretty cool. Estafano is a senior in high school and Preston is a sophomore.

Saturday we had to go to a Stake training meeting. They taught us how to be genuine missionaries instead of robots. I took a lot from that training since I can't talk to people all that well. Then we went and helped Michelle who is preparing to go through the temple. We are in the process of clearing out her basement which was just stuffed full of boxes and junk.

We had the adult session of stake conference that night too. Probably the longest two hours ever. Every. Single. Speaker. Spoke about ward council. It was cool and all to have a theme but it was really repetitive. Stake Conference the next day was better. It was all about getting a temple recommend even if you don't plan on going to the temple. And if you haven't, then to prepare yourself to go to the temple and receive the ordinances there.

And then the highlight of the week. We met with Riley and her boyfriend Matt. Riley asked how she could get baptized and stuff.  And Matt, who is less active, asked what the first step would be to obtaining a temple recommend because after going to stake conference he wants to receive his endowments. It was awesome. I don't think they realize how awesome that is. but one day they will....

Well that was my week hope you had an even better one. :)
