Shout out to the Julanders

We have a lot more investigators now. R.... and R... both are from the Marshall Islands. D..... she's 15. S..... or "S..." is Jewish and her granddaughter J..... It's so much easier to teach now. I just needed to know what I was teaching. I guess I should've studied harder before the mission. But now that I know what I'm teaching I'm more confident. We don't share an apartment with the other elders but they have an apartment in the same complex as us. So we hang out quite often. The new Elders that came into Piney Creek are Elder Wagner and Elder Haws. They are both pretty cool people. And unfortunately President couldn't make it to our basketball game. One day we will be able to play with him. And then I'll teach him ;)

Lets see. The highlights of this week....

Monday were transfers but Elder Millburn and I stayed here in Cherry Creek. Two new elders in Piney Creek came. They're from Illinois and Northern California. On Tuesday nothing special or at least nothing I can remember happened. Besides we had District Meeting.

Wednesday we went to Chelsea Place with all the old people. It was another resident's birthday so we got cake and ice cream again. If we keep showing up on the birthdays they'll start thinking we only show up for cake and ice cream. Well the one lady E.... didn't finish her cake and she gave it to me and told me to eat it. I kept trying to give it back and tell her to eat it but she put her arm around my companion who was sitting next to her and said, "I can't eat that right now, we are too busy necking (making out)." I swear it was the funniest thing that she's said so far. I had to wipe my tears away from laughing so hard.

Thursday nothing really happened that I can remember. And on Friday we had interviews with the mission president. At first I was super anxious because I had no idea what we did at interviews but I absolutely loved it. All you do is just talk to the president and his wife how you're doing and stuff. Nothing to worry about at all I found out. Oh which reminds me. Sister Mendenhall told me to tell the Julanders "Hi" for her.

We had S..... come to Sacrament meeting yesterday and she brought her granddaughter with her! It was so awesome! She said that she had a really great experience there and she wants to come back next week. She told us that during Relief Society she had a question answered. She says she's been looking for an answer to her question for a long time. We are meeting with her on Thursday again. She likes to talk a lot is what the members of the ward said. Which she does but she talks about good church things. I think that she connected with a lot of members and hopefully she'll have an even better experience next week.

On Saturday we had our trunk or treat from 4-6. These people go hard at dressing up! It's so awesome! The A..... family had like a Alice in Wonderland theme. And other families were like ninja turtles and stuff like that! I think it was the coolest Trunk or treat I've been too. They had soooo much chili too. They had competitions for like most spiciest chili or most unique. My favorite was like a chicken alfredo chili. I loved it... And it didn't even win. Oh well. God has a plan for everything right? :) Well that's how my week went and. It seems like every week that goes by my testimony of our church just grows. Well actually that is probably what is happening and I'm grateful for it.

-Elder Fonger.
