New Comp

Sorry I'm a day late.... Transfers were crazy yesterday. So this week was as fun as any other week. Met with a lot of new people and made new friends. Tuesday we had yet another DLC for Elder Millburn but this time another Elder and I played these silly brain games with each other. Once we figured them all out we started punking on the rest of the Elders. It was so funny because they couldn't figure out the game and were actually getting pretty mad. The best thing though was.... we never told them the answer. So every time we see them we just make fun of them. I'll do anything to keep me sane for awhile.

Wednesday we had lunch with Sister L like every other Wednesday.  Played Skip-Bo with her but she got tired of losing to the "card shark" (me cause I'm from Nevada) so we started playing Phase 10. needless to say, She still loses and she accuses me of cheating. I wouldn't ever cheat.....

We taught one of our investigators at the Hamricks home again. He doesn't really keep his commitments so I just told him that basically we can teach him for the rest of eternity but he won't ever find out if it's true without praying or reading the scriptures. I think that'll kick him into gear a little bit. Lets hope so.

Thursday  wasn't all too special except for District Meeting and about 4:30p we got a call from President Mendenhall and asked Elder Millburn to be a Zone Leader. He's so excited for that calling.... not. This meant that he would be leaving the area though which bummed me out but it wasn't surprising. That night we were able to meet with Ricky and Rally two other investigators. We just checked up on them because we hadn't seen them for a couple weeks.

Friday was different because Elder Millburn had to go to MLC's for zone leaders and stuff so I got stuck with Piney Creek and was in a Trio all day. That was fun. We basically just spent the whole day handing out Christmas party invitations for Piney Creek. Then we had Christmas Caroling practice that night...

Which brings me to Saturday! Saturday we went to downtown Denver at a strip mall and we sat by a random piano that happened to be in the middle and caroled for two hours. We were able to talk to a lot of people. I always volunteered myself to go talk to people so I didn't have to sing. I tell you what.... There are some interesting people on the Streets here in Denver that aren't in Spring Creek. One guy rode up on a bike that had a sign on it that read, "Been an atheist for 79 years. Was born atheist so go ahead and try to convince me. Stop me and we will talk but not tear." He was a super cool guy and we talked with him for a while just about what he does and stuff. Sooner or later he'll realize that there is a God.... Hopefully sooner before its too late.

Then Sunday it was pretty much running around to different families so that Millburn could say goodbye to. Sad day for him and the ward. They really liked him. So as far as transfers went. Elder Coleman is my new companion. It's super crazy because we went to the MTC together and he was our District Leader there. In our zone we have 4 Elders all from the same MTC District. It's actually super fun and maybe not for the best. We always joke around and stuff....

Talk to ya in a week! :)
