Legal Fireworks

So it's funny. I just found out last night that we don't actually live in Aurora. We don't live anywhere. The address where we are at is actually right in between the cities. Like Centennial and Aurora. So it actually isn't in a city and that's why fireworks aren't illegal. Because I swear everyone and their mother were lighting off fireworks last night and I asked the members if it was illegal because there are signs on every street that say, "Fireworks are illegal in Aurora". And then they told me that. Only the Aerial ones are illegal but that didn't stop anyone I don't think. It was a pretty good show just from the front lawn of the members. Missionaries just get to watch. We had to be home by 8:00 but our members were having a bbq so we just went to that at like 6:30 and were done for the night. We invited some new people across the street to come like 3 days ago and they all came. They are from Florida so that's super cool that they actually listened to us....

This week wasn't bad at all. Monday night after all the shenanigans of p-day we had dinner with the Wood family and they were having a birthday celebration for their oldest Daughter. Steak and potatoes and it was fantastic!!!

Tuesday morning we helped out a less active lady named Erin weed and rake her backyard. It took so long and it was so hot and miserable. But then they fed us sandwiches and it was all good after that. We also had a lesson with Sally again and talked about prayer with her. I don't even  know why we meet with her... my companion thinks she is less active but she isn't. She just can't go to church during the summer because of the job she works. Something about lawn care or what not.

Wednesday was awesome we met with a guy named John. A friend of Denzel who brought him to church. He also accepted to be baptized but sadly he doesn't live in our area so we have to pass him off to some other missionaries. And then John brought a friend to church last Sunday. It's crazy!!!! Met with a family in parkview as well that day. They pretty much seem golden. Some guy taught them the restoration in Vegas on a business trip and then called us and told us wherre they live. We teach them again next Saturday. And then that night we met with  guy named Romonde. (pronounced ramone) Hes a HUGE black guy that has found god when he was in solitary confinement for starting a riot at the prison he was at. He served 17 of his 32 year sentence but got out early because he was good. Dude is a stud and he is not afraid of anything. He grew up in gangs and all that jazz. We meet with him again on Wednesday. T

Thursday we met with John again! And talked more about prayer and Jesus Christ. Had our last District Meeting for the transfer as well on that day.

Friday it rained all day good thing though because that's when we do weekly planning. We had a lesson with Holly and this time she said she got clothes to wear to church. Slowly but surely!!! Hahaha.

Saturday we met a guy who is from Nigeria and he's super chill. Said we could come back anytime to discuss the "word" with him.

Sunday was the same as ever. Except we did everything without eating. met with Zack again. He's still headstrong to be baptized even though he had questions about already being baptized. He's also going into the SWAT. Got his answer in church because of how patriotic we were at church. Sang the National Anthem like 3 times....

things are going good here which is good....

love you tons!!!
