North Denver Elders Bike, and Bike, and Bike, and Bike, and Bike

We don't really play basketball too much. No one plays around here because all the church courts are the like super small ones. Even in the brand new stake center the court is the small one. Even though the gym is regular size. We play a little on P-day but I don't like playing with the guys up here. Elder Baxter and my Companion are the only cool guys. Everyone else are just annoying and cocky. Like our Zone Leader Elder Vaoifi is supa annoying. Gets on my nerves just hearing him talk. He just thinks he's better than everyone and everything.

Well this week didn't go by that fast. We had to bike a ton. I was on google maps and mapped out roughly how much we biked. Over 50 miles. It sucks getting miles cut and coming into the area when the miles are already halfway used up. So yeah that took a big chunk out of our days trying to hit appointments and dinners and stuff. We did it though and was only late to two of the appointments. Monday night we had a lesson with Carlos and Rebecca. They are different. They're from Mexico but grew up a "mormon" just not in the LDS church. I guess their families moved to Mexico so that they could keep practicing polygamy. So they believe everything we do except that they think the priesthood is held by a random guy they don't know and that there is no prophet today. So yeah that's about the only concern they have. Seems easy enough.... haha.

Tuesday we had dinner with the coolest guy ever. Brother Johnson is less active but he's way cool. Works at a place where they cut stuff with the water jet things. He can cook a mean steak as well. He kept on complimenting me and my ability to come up with scriptures according to his topic. I don't think he knew that I have a whole chart that does that for me. Oh well. I'm basically his favorite now.

Wednesday we biked like 25 miles. Needless to say that I'm super sore or I was. Not anymore though. Hit a few appointments. Met with a couple named Dani and Stephanie. She's the member and he's not. They both know jack about the church however. So we invited them to church and they said they'd come. And they actually did so that was dope. Then everyone came up to us and was like "how did you get those two to church???? We've been trying for like a year to even talk to them"  Guess we have the magic touch or something like that.

Thursday we did the same things. met with Wendy and Dan again. Rumor has it that they've been smokin' weed but as far as we can tell they aren't. So the baptism this weekend is still a go. Hopefully they aren't lying because its their salvation they're messing with.

Friday was a super long day. Spent all day in the house with no AC doing planning then went outside where it was even more warm. Biked and then ate way too much at dinner so we went home and needless to say... upset stomach + hot room = a trip to the bathroom and I had to eat a second dinner. This time not eating as much. That was fun...

Had a breakfast with the stake president Saturday. He fed us some cheap breakfast burritos that were so dry and had no cheese Like what the heck man! A lot of people here don't like him. Not sure why they just don't haha. I guess even president doesn't fancy him all that much. Sunday was good though. We got lazy and used all the miles we saved during the week. Now we are back at square one. At least we had A/C though in the car. :) Moved back in Sunday as well. In the basement of a super nice home with A/C and comfy beds. The Bathroom is way nice. I'll get pics next week! :) Today we have a Dentist appointment to hit for my companion. He's got to get retainer thing because he is worried that his teeth are going to get crooked because he never got the retainer from when he had his braces. So that'll be fun!

Love you!

Just thinking why biking is so much fun
