Your awesome sons donated blood for our sons eagle project today. My husband is their ward mission leader we love having their awesome spirits in our home. Thank you for sharing them with us. Sis bowers we are glad that we kept him another transfer
Not even sure if Missionaries are even allowed to donate blood. I haven't seen or heard anywhere that says we can't so we did it haha. We felt totally fine. My companion was getting dizzy though towards the end of the day. He is still here though so nothing to major happened. And! We got free lunch. That's really why we did it.... Free trumps everything else. Especially if it's free Chik-Fil-A sandwiches.
I don't even know how the pioneers survived without A/C. We would literally turn our car on so that we could have A/C a bit. Haha. I forgot to take pictures of the new crib but it's nice I assure you. I took some fire selfies though. I found a new love for Rugby. It's super fun.
This week was super good. We didn't get too much done because we were just keepin' our investigators good to be baptized. They were struggling hard. Tuesday though we had dinner with a Part member family. Danny and Stephanie. We didn't leave their house until like 9:50 because of the lesson we were having. We got home and our District Leader was waiting for us because we forgot we had exchanges lol. Poor guys thought we died or something.
So that's how I spent Wednesday over in the other area with Elder Driscoll. He's from England. I guess it's like us except they don't have Swedish fish and they drive on the left side. And they don't have In n' Out. Well neither does like 90% of this country. I had to drive too because HQ Just came out with a new rule that foreigners have to buy this like international license thing so he had to do that. I broke the key off in the ignition.... but we could still get the car started. But after dinner we went out there and tried starting but it wouldn't start. So I was like what the freak? We tried and tried and tried but we just toasted the battery. So we just got a ride and went home. I guess the reason it wasn't starting at first was because in the key fob there is a microchip that lets the car be started? Idk these fancy new cars. So yeah basically the church went down $200ish dollars because I toasted the battery. Oops my bad. Can't win them all. We checked up on Wendy and Dan the day after that and then they called the cops on Sean because he came home drunk and threatened to kill them or something? Then after he spent the night in jail he called us and he's like a new person! Wants to learn everything all over again and hopefully he will get baptized on the 20th!
Saturday we had the baptism! Everything went smoothly except my companion almost couldn't get Wendy back out of the water cause she's a big girl and can't bend her knees cause of surgery. And he almost knocked Dan out. Literally an inch from the handrail when he went down and came back up. Both first try though! Then I confirmed them the next day. I was super nervous but also did it first try. Now they have the Holy Ghost with them!! It's cool stuff. Of course we ended the week with going over to the Gifford's home to talk about missionary work. That's always an adventure. All the teenagers there are punks... not like I was like that at all. Anyways.. Love ya! Oh btw new month = more money and more miles!!! Happy day!
