It's All for the Better They Tell Me

I've been pretty devout about playing the piano too! The members we live with have a baby grand and I play some hymns every morning. It's pretty fun and I'm getting way better. I can almost play both hands on Israel Israel God is Calling. Pretty much can play the Organ for Sacrament meeting now.

This week hasn't been the best. I definitely have seen better. Week 6 is usually rough and anxiety ridden. Not knowing what's going to happen in a week. We only taught a handful of people this week.

Tuesday we started off the week of course by going out to Barr Lake. We just mowed and trimmed the weeds this time. There were so many! I don't even know where they came from because we just did the same patch last week! I kept getting stabbed by these massive spikey things too. Through my shoes and jeans... After that we went trying by random people in the area book but none of them wanted anything to do with us. We did have dinner with Brother Johnson again. He got some pizza for us and kept apologizing for it. Poor guy thinks it's gotta be a 5 star meal for us everytime. I feel like this whole dinner every other week with him is getting way too stressful for him. Maybe we'll give him a break. He also showed off his sound system that isn't hooked up to his TV for what reason I don't know. But it was way sick. and loud.... shook the pictures off the wall loud... quite literally.

Wednesday we helped out with the Trail again and got invited to a volunteer appreciation BBQ out there. We went home and took it easy for a bit since my companion wasn't feelin' too well again. Had District Mtg. at 3 pm after that. It was kind of weird too because the whole zone was there since the district leader of the other zone went home and they all just came to ours that week. We had dinner with another part member family and when we asked to share a message he just flat out said no thanks. I've never had that happen before. It kinda took awhile for me to register. Oh well everyone is entitled to their agency I guess. So we just left without a prayer as well. This is the same guy that has been married to his wife for 47 years and has come to church like the whole time. Must have something against religion or something.

Thursday morning we just sat around fixing up the area book and stuff getting ready for interviews. Interviews were good as always. Mission president and his wife are just cool and chat with you like friends. After interviews we went and had lunch. Did normal missionary stuff until dinner. Which was chik-fil-a brought to us at our house. Didn't have any lessons planned for that night either. Seemed like no one wanted to talk to us. We went to Paul's for a bit and helped him wrap his tamales in tin foil so he could get out on his run faster and hopefully sell some more than usual.

Friday we had a couple of lessons planned but they both bailed. Not sure if I already mentioned what happened to Dan last week. But he hit his head at a water park and is just out of it. We were supposed to go see him and Kay and Wendy but they wanted to enjoy some silence since the kids started school that day. I don't even know why they all start on a Friday here... that's kind of weird. We did help Paul again Friday afternoon after we met with Brother Easdon. Helped him make more tamales. He's going to some music festival so hopefully this run helps him out a little. We are going back tonight to maybe put those speakers he got the other week in.

Friday night we had dinner with a cool family. Can't remember their names but they are so chill. And the kids are disciplined so it was awesome. No craziness happened just relaxation. Then after that the Reunion missionaries came by to use our tire pressure gauge but we just ended up going to Sonic with them to get half priced shakes. Well we forgot our phone in their truck that night. So we didn't get it until like 10am Saturday morning and I had a voicemail from the Assistants extending a Training assignment to me. I'm not excited for that but there was a meeting at the Mission Office that morning 10:30. So we had to get going real fast. Got home at like 2 pm. Had lunch at Costa Vida and got it free because there were some Members there that had free meals for a year or something like that. They were from the Savory Ponds ward too and remembered us both from when we were there! That was cool. Had dinner at Chik-fil-a again that night. A single sister took us there and then we went to that BBQ. Got fathead drawings of us. They are so cool!! I'll send a picture...

Sunday did regular church stuff. My man Will came to church again today. Haven't even taught him lesson 1 yet and he's come to church twice now. Maybe this week sometime... with the new guy. He can challenge him to baptism. Wow the ideas I get when writing emails.... Then I got a call 10:34pm last night from president. He extended an assignment to be a District Leader next transfer. Not excited for that either. Ugh.. I thought I was gonna be able to fly under the Radar this whole time... my luck ran out I guess. Now I gotta come up with something to do for District Meeting. Too stressful for me. And that brings me to now. We were going to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch but it was CLOSED! Man so we went to Taco Bell instead and got an X-Large Baja Blast to calm my nerves instead. That's been the week so far. I'm freakin' out so much about these new leadership things. But it's all for the better they tell me and I'll trust 'em. :) Love you!

I like Jordan's flex there.  Haha!
