You Can Run, But You Cannot Hide

Well the lame fall carnival was gonna be so lame they decided to cancel it. But not because they wanted to. Because the church was getting the carpets cleaned. So we couldn't use that church. The positives though. We went and played some pool and I crushed everyone of course. And now I have a lot of dum dums. I keep a handful in my bag at a time. To give to homeless or just to eat. I never got to carve pumpkins either. No worries there. Seems like no one did here though. I guess there is no point if they are just gonna get stolen off the porch.

This extra hour of sleep threw me off. I woke up so groggy and just was done. I could barely walk to the shower cuz my eyes were too heavy too open.

As for this week it was kinda sad. Monday obviously was cancelled so nothing happened. We didn't even have Family Home evening because we had to go home for Halloween. Tuesday nothing major happened. Just that my companion met with President. I do have to say though. That these drunk people kinda get on my nerves. Like they always ask if I'm on the right team. But based on their PhD in theology I'd have to say it doesn't matter because we already live good lives and so we will go to heaven no matter if we are right or wrong. Just some alcohol clouded brains can't grasp that basic thing. Ugh.

Wednesday we went to the temple. Had to get up at the ridiculous hour of 3:30am. Was that rough. It led to me falling asleep during the session as well. Not good I know. Then we had District Meeting right after that for which I had to provide a training. I wasn't even nervous because I was so tired.

Thursday we tried going to a lesson with the Sisters so that they could hand off one of their investigators to us. But it was super awkward and he was drunk so we rescheduled. We also had interviews that day. Basically president just told me that I can no longer hide from leadership. So that means probably for the rest of my time in Colorado I'll be in leadership. sounds like nothing but stress to me but we will see where it takes us. Friday we took the sacrament to Lloyd and Georgina. Had dinner at this little mexican place that was sooooo good. I wish I remembered what it was called or where it's at but I can't. :(

Saturday was pretty eventful. We started by skipping this meeting because it usually is a waste of time for us because it takes 2 hrs getting down there and then 2 hrs getting back. We helped a guy named Mike organize his house. He has bed bugs and stuff everywhere. But I think we got out safe and without those bugs. We had dinner then at Qdoba. It is sooo good. Way better than chipotle mainly because they don't charge extra for Guacamole. It was quite heavenly.

Sunday we had a regional broadcast thing. Elder Rasband spoke so that was cool. The main message was temples but the talks before were mainly about how we can't smoke weed even though it is legal. Don't even try it.... so when it is legalized in Nevada just know you can't smoke it. Then we gave a blessing to a lady who just moved in so that she can start quitting smoking. Then president came to the apartment. Good thing it was clean and stuff. I'm a very organized person now that I've been out here for a bit.  So my companion is going home which is why we've seen so much of President. It's sad but It's what he wants to do so more power to him. There's a lot of culture to being pressured to go on a mission. But he said he may and try to come back out. We have no plans today at all. Just gonna kick it and relax this p-day. Then we have FHE tonight again. That's always fun. Talk to you next week! Love you!
