I don't even remember what happened on Monday. I forgot to bring that planner with me so that I could tell you about all the adventures of that day. I'm pretty sure we didn't do much. Oh wait here it is. I found it. In the Morning we helped Rachel move and throw away her couch. It was a lot easier than I was expecting it to be. I'm pretty sure we put it in the wrong dumpster which is very illegal here in the city. Oh well. Then we talked to Rachel and Ray her husband for a bit. Gave him a blessing so that he can try and stop drinking. He has a real problem. There whole apartment just smells like hard liquor. It's so bad that when we leave I smell like straight alcohol. Worse than after getting of the Colfax bus. Then we went home and had some lunch. After that we went north to visit Martin but he wasn't home. So we saw Paul again who was working on his trucks in his backyard. He's just a chill cool guy. Then we had dinner at home again too. Saw Tim after that. He's so depressed and lonely it breaks my heart. His dumb wife cheated on him with the Bishop years ago and he's like yeah, Since then I lost faith. I probably would too man! So he's just chillin' during the holidays. Sometimes his kids come to visit him. Occasionally his ex-wife does as well.
Tuesday was a bundle of joy. In the morning we went by a lot of names. No luck came home and had lunch and I started packing for the transfer. After that we went and tried more names but I was just so unmotivated to do anything because I was just leaving the next day. We were on our way to see Mike but ran into him on the sidewalk and he's like oh hey guys! You can come with me to work. Turns out he works as a volunteer at this place where the Mentally Handicapped just hang out. The manager of the place said he went to school with a guy named Kenny Wagner who is famous among mormons or something? Now it just begs the question how does Mike get money for his rent? He says he doesn't even get paid there.... Had dinner at Red Robin and even got the black name tag discount! Nothin like $6 for a burger, unlimited fries and unlimited lemonade.... Then we went home and I just packed and stuff.
Wednesday we went to the Yale + Monaco building for transfers. Got to see a lot of my missionary buddies. Hopped on the van that took us down to the Parker stake center. Gotta see my new companion Elder Sato from Japan!!!! He's so cool! And funny. His facial and hand expressions just get me. Then we went and unpacked at our house... I saw the list of rules and the area and was like... "Parkview? I thought I left you......." Oh boy. I'm in for a good run here I think. We were then out tracting some apartments because that's all there is to do in this area and we got a call saying we need to give our car up for some other missionaries. Ayyyyyy. So now we are out a car during the winter and in a rich area. The best of both worlds right? We had dinner with some members who cooked us a Japanese meal. My hand was sore afterward for using chopsticks for so long. It was pretty good though.
Thursday we had district meeting. It wasn't spiritual at all because I like having too much fun. We spent A LOT of time playing get to know you things and cracking jokes. Everyone except one Sister hasn't been out for longer than 6 months..... So I had to refrain from making too many greenie jokes. Then we tracted the whole rest of the day. We did meet a guy named Danny. He's super chill I don't know why the missionaries go over there though. He just talks about Warcraft the whole time. He's cool though said he's a good cook and will feed us. So maybe that's why? Had dinner at a Japanese place... almost starting to think that I am now a foreign missionary from using chopsticks so much. My hand hurt after that. Wasn't even sore... just pain haha.
Friday we had Weekly planning of course. Then we went out and knocked doors allll day again. I told you this place was a ball of fun. I haven't heard the words "Not Interested" more in life than I did that day. I shoulda counted or something... Then we had dinner at home but they were having a big family dinner so we just went and were gonna go get something at McDonalds' but got lost on the bike trail and ended up just going by another person. But then they fed us dinner so it all worked out! Reyna is from Mexico and Cahid is from Morocco. And my companion was from Japan... So I had all these accents going on and I just sat there feeling very white haha. It was cool though. Then we met another less-active guy named Chris. He is super chill too! We are gonna try and batpize his 9 year old kid. Then we had a district leader meeting. It was a lot of fun actually! It was me and the other district leader dropping jokes the whole time! Hahaha. Elder Christensen is just awesome. Served around him the last couple transfers.
