Change of Schedule!

Well Merry Christmas!! Again.... We were suppose to email tomorrow but no one listened to me suggesting that most libraries will not be open on Christmas Eve as that is a holiday as well as Christmas right? So here I am emailing on Friday with an empty inbox... Sad day. And just a heads up next week our P-day is on Saturday again for the same reason as New Years. Libraries will be closed on Monday so hopefully they are not closed on New Years Eve. Not much has happened in the last four days but I'll update you anyway ❤

Monday was a bust. After e-mail we went to lunch at Smashburger waiting for some other missionaries because they wanted to come see downtown. Well it took them like 3 hours to get over here so there goes the whole P-Day haha. I was wanting to go down to the Stake Center to play some bball and we got there just in time to start heading back home to dinner. *sigh* well I guess tomorrow is a second chance at another P-Day. We had dinner with Sister Hickey who always invites 10 other people. She says it's just easier to cook for a lot more than 3. I'm not much of a cook so I wouldn't  know. Her non-member neighbors were there though. He is super interested in the Missionaries and stuff but she is totally turned off by us. It took her awhile to just even talk to us normally. I think she thought we were gonna try and baptize her in the bathtub downstairs or something. Then we had a little Christmas program with all the little kids and sang Christmas Carols. It was a hoot. Then we had to go give a blessing at the hospital. We were on our way but it was about 8:30pm and I knew that we weren't gonna get there until 9:30ish because the buses don't run that late very much. So I asked the Mission Office if we needed to get there tonight and they were all, "oh yes, please please please try and go there." So we did. Turns out the guy is fine. All he wanted was a house to live in. Ayyy. Didn't get home until about 11:15pm

Which made Tuesday a really long day.... We got a text at about 7am saying that we have apartment inspection that day at 3pm. So we spent the whole morning before lunch cleaning haha. Usually we keep the place clean and tidy but I didn't realize how nasty that place was until we actually tried to clean it. We had probably 5 bags of trash. All the washcloths were straight black afterwards from all the dust everywhere. I didn't even worry about the nasty blinds. I just raised them up so that they didn't notice that they were filthy haha. Then we went and helped out some other missionaries build a play ground set. Nothin' like trying to screw together 20 year old wood that was acquired off Craigslist for free. But it was fun anyhow. We showed up and all the lady had was a hammer lots of screws and a drill with a dead battery... So we asked the neighbors if we could use their power drill. Good thing it's not hard to talk to strangers. Then we cranked about half of the playground thing out. We will be going back sometime or another to finish it. Came back home for the inspection. All Sister Hight said when she walked in was, "you get an A++." I guess we did a good job huh? Then we went and visited Mike. We didn't spend too much time there because we had dinner afterward. We just talked about church and that it's important and that he should come especially since it's Christmas Day and that it won't be very long haha. We had dinner with Sister Buckwalter and her daughter Emma. They came in clutch again and got us some more muffins from Costco. Bless their souls. After that we just went trying by people and we set up some appointments.

Wednesday morning we had District Meeting. My companion gave a fire lesson about being real with people. Then we went by our Ward Mission Leaders house to pick up some bus tickets for Daniel to come to church. Dropped off a Bible and Book of Mormon to another referral. then we went home but didn't really have time for lunch since we had another appointment with Joyce. But she wasn't feeling well and cancelled so we went and saw William who we met the day before. We asked him how long he has a been a member and he said that he's not a member... *oh boy* and also he told me that he doesn't believe in the Resurrection because of one verse in Ecclesiastes. I asked him about the rest of the whole flippin' Bible that says we will be resurrected and he's like, "Well, It can't all be true can it?" Hahahaha! Oh my goodness this guy is gonna be a hoot. We had dinner with the Geist family but we were 37 mins late because we went to the wrong address. They weren't very happy and I understand completely. Oops. Had another appointment with Rachel but she was falling asleep during the lesson again. Why does she have us come over if she's that tired I wonder... Took the bus home and there were some Jamaican dudes that were completely wasted yelling "I"m drunk!!! I drank that whole liquor store!" and they kept lighting their lighters over and over yelling that some more. hahahaha. It was quite a sight.

Thursday was a mess. First of all. The plans have been switched around sooo much this week for Christmas and stuff. Which is fine and all but you've had all year to plan this out... why make sudden changes the day before or evening the morning of... We were suppose to weekly plan Thursday morning but got a text right before it saying that we can't weekly plan Thursday. Well Friday was booked and I told them that then they told me to do it on Saturday... Yeah right hahahahahahahahaha. Christmas Eve and P-day????? So we are gonna find some time today to do it. Spent the morning trying by names but it was in the hispanic section of the ward so I got to practice my Spanish Finding skills. President is about to switch me to spanish speaking I can feel it. We had lunch with Chuck and he made his amazing French Dip sandwiches. Then after we went and did service at Metro. Basically just moved boxes the whole time for people. It was therapeutic. We got a call to go give a blessing at the hospital so we went straight there. Turns out the guy was less active and his mom is from Utah. She flew in that same day and we walked in a few minutes before she did. Obviously after we gave the blessing she was a mess. So we left her our phone number in case she needed anything else. Then we ate dinner at the apartment and went out again. Nothin' too exciting happend. Except the bus driver and this guy got into it a little bit. I was hoping to see some fists but the bus driver was smarter than that I think. The guy tried to ride without paying and ended up paying. When he got off the driver said next time don't try and pull that little scam. then the dude said something and the bus driver kept calling him a little boy so the guy said to get off the bus and we'd see who the little boy was. Well I hate to break it to you but that bus driver weighed about twice more probably and this dude was like 60 yrs old and had a super bad liimp.... probably pick your fights better next time homie.

Love you! and Merry Christmas! By the way can't remember if I told you. But I got your package and I opened it!! Thanks!!! Love you!
