"Things'll be great when you're downtown...." Insert Downtown Tune here.

Hmm this week was an interesting one. Not sure how to explain it so I will just tell you what happened. Tuesday morning we went to the old British lady's house and set up her Christmas tree. Then her son woke up and yelled at her. Can't stand that guy his name is Glenn. Freakin' punk is what he is. Held my tongue though because there's no need for me to not like him anymore. We went and sorted food at DenUM again in the basement. Pretty satisfying though. Taking a mess and putting them into an organized mess. Yep. Then we saw Mike again. He thought that getting the Melchizedek priesthood was becoming a missionary so no wonder he was hesitant! I was like oh no bud. I wouldn't wish this on anybody that doesn't want it hahaha. So we got that cleared up and hopefully gets his interview soon. Then we saw Richard that night but his parrot was asleep so we went into his bedroom where he declared the whole time he doesn't have to read the scriptures or go to church because he is so righteous and that people just see the light in him and has a special gift when he gives blessings that he swears his priesthood is different than ours.... phew long sentence. But it gets the point across.

Wednesday we had District meeting which was quite awkward and boring honestly. New district leaders both been out the same amount of time. Both don't know what to do. Then we went and saw Daniel R. (the drunk) who said that he fought off two guys. (the same two guys that jumped him) I asked him how he got jumped then and he was like oh, they won. I still dont understand how you can fight off two guys but still lose. Beats me. He also said that he tore the windpipe out of the second guy but put it back in because he's not into cold blood murder. What the heck? We then continued to freeze because we had no appointments after that and spent the rest of the day outside.

Thursday we went and had lunch with Chuck. Paul was there (weird singing dude) and his friend John was there. So that made for an awkward lunch automatically. Full of Chuck telling us his Navy stories about women and Paul about his crazy theories of Pres. Uchtdorf being the holy ghost and stuff like that. Then we stopped by Mike again to drop off a cd with Light the World on it. I burned it to a disc. That's the only thing I don't like about the initiative. A lot of people don't have access to the internet so they literally can't do anything with it. But such is life and technology is advancing. Might as well hop on the train and not get left behind.

Friday was fun. We went to go give a blessing to someone in ICU which is never good right. So we show up and she's just out cold. And we were like uh? do we wake her up? and the nurse is like oh no. If we wake her up she's gonna tear the tubes off and walk out into the cold. I was like that is so not good. And she told us we can't touch her. So we just put our hands above her head and gave a blessing.... to someone who was sedated with morphine. That was an adventure. Didn't have to do security though this time. I guess if you are going into ICU they are close enough to death that they don't care if you bring weapons in? Idk the reasoning. Then we did the whole sacrament thing and when we got to Georgina's house she told her friend to come down stairs. She realized the Elders were here so she dumped her whole life story. Oh boy. Buckle your seatbelts. Sandy and Patrick were baptized 3 years ago in Aurora and lived a good life then they moved to Florida. Got in a bad car accident. Got screwed over by insurance and lawyers who just took their money and didn't do anything for them. Then her daughter went rogue and hates the church and everyone pretty much except herself so Sandy being a good mom gave all her money to the Daughter because that's smart and now they are flat broke. Only one pair of clothes stuck in Florida. So somehow they got here to Colorado with a truck and crashed at Georgina's place because they've known each other 30 yrs. So  now Georgina has a dumb homeless dude there. Some dysfunctional friends and a punk son. That poor poor lady. Also on Family history her husband shows up with another women instead of her. Then!!!! We went to dinner at HOHO's the place where I'm sure they use dog meat instead of actual chicken to make their "orange chicken" and there were people hatin' on the mormons so I went over there and had a nice chat. Won't go into details but essentially told them to get a job and stop smoking crack. THEN we went and saw David Larsen. He's doing good decorating his Christmas tree. :)

Saturday was fun.... again. We went to a stake Training. The Hights took us. Btw Sister Hight's Granddaughter is Annika Winder. (Can't remember if that's her last name) but we had some same classes back in George Washington days. Then we took a detour to Costco to get gas on the way home which I'm almost sure was out of the mission boundaries but ignorance is bliss. Then we went knocking on doors. And then I didn't realize that the parade of lights would mess with our bus schedule so then we realized we had to walk all the way out of downtown just to realize there was some indian group protesting right in the middle of the street about water or something and that completely shut off our bus so we walked like 1.5 miles all the way to dinner which was real nice. We got some hot chocolate and the Waitress was super cute :) Then we got dropped off to try by someone and set up an appointment with them and started our way back home but the buses were still messed up because of the like 60 million people downtown. (not quite that much of course) Some members gave us kettle corn though.

Sunday was crazy as well! Had church and all that drama. Went and tried to see Martin but he wasn't home. So we went down south to try by Laura who swerved us again. Donald cancelled then the sisters Called and asked us to give a blessing like we can just go wherever and whenever we want to places as if we had a car. So we spent an hour getting up thee to give a blessing to this person who I literally cannot tell you about according to law. But her life is a mess as well. Then we went wayyyy back down south to grab a dinner from Paul  who then was like "you need to be punctual  with me" I've about had it with that guy. Then we went home :)

And that's that. :)

Love you!
