We do have opportunities for service... well it depends on the type of service. I refuse to help people move because that's not my job. The Elders Quorum should be doing that. I mean I'll help out if no one shows up or something. But we dig holes for people and stuff like that. Rake pine needles. and drink peoples Mtn Dew when they don't want it. So yeah we do some service but Mission policy is if we do more service than we do finding then that's a big no no. So we can't do to much of it. And if we do then we kinda put our extra service hours under the table haha. Shhh don't tell anyone. :)
And no my companion does not say eh. I say it though to tease him. He says "Actually?" like if I say, "One time I made my brother cry because I ate his french fry." He'd say "Actually?" instead of Really? or What? It's funny.
This week was a 7 day KO (Knock Out) My companion got sick Tuesday night. Slammed with some nasty cold. He couldn't even talk and stuff. So we didn't do anything at all this week. We literally pulled all 0's on our numbers for the week. We had an investigator drop us and another cancel on us. It was a fun week full of fun.... I ate all my fruity pebbles day one because there was nothing else to do at the house. Ayyyy first world problems I guess. So I went the rest of the week with no breakfast. I've learned how to make scrambled eggs in the microwave though! And I guess mac and cheese isn't all that bad nowadays. There's like special flavor ones you can find and I don't know what it's called but holy smokes it's to die for. So freaking good.
Turns out Elder Melchin is also like a chess genius. I get creamed. Ugh not like the good old days of beating my little brothers. Same at risk and monopoly. I just can't win at life right now. Not to mention the SNOW!!! What in the world? Colorado please stop with this madness?? It snowed again the last few days. uggh! and also I have to speak in Sacrament meeting in a few weeks on missionary work. So if you guys could somehow find the one I gave for my farewell and send that to me that'd be so cool. :)
On Sundays we get to go to the Priest Quorum. It reminds me a lot of ours. We spend the first 20 mins just talking and making fun of each other. the next 10 mins for planning/announcements and the last 2 mins saying we'll just do the lesson next week. It's quite fun. There's like 12 priests here. Kinda crazy but they're all buds. Super cool to see. Anyways.... I don't have much else to say other than I made a whole list of scriptures about the plan of salvation all straight from the bible. that was quite interesting. some of the scriptures are a stretch though . Like in Matthew where Jesus says the kingdom is going to outer darkness or something. I don't know. Welp I've gotta go do the rest of my laundry... Catch you next week I guess.
